September 28th 2002, and the biggest day of my life….. I got married to Abi, my long suffering partner of more than 6 years!

After finally deciding that the Aston Martin we fancied as a wedding car was probably just a little too expensive, we decided on the next best thing, and Abi’s father kindly donated his MINI Cooper S for the big occasion!

While such a small car may seem a pretty strange choice for a wedding car, it was actually a great choice, not only did it turn even more heads than it usually does without the wedding bands, thanks to the wide opening doors, I have been told it was actually very easy to get in and out of for the bride!

Following our fantastic wedding day, we set off on honeymoon to the beautiful Cape Town, where MINI South Africa and MINI UK had kindly arranged the loan of a Dark Silver MINI Cooper S for the duration of our stay. Needless to say we had a terrific time, and having an ‘S’ to drive around in only added to the fun we had over in South Africa!

So all that remains to say is thank you MINI UK, MINI South Africa, Rod, and most importantly, thank you Abi!
