At this year’s Car Of The Year (COTY) award in Japan on Nov. 13th, MINI has scored highest among imported cars. Among 49 entries by 18 domestic and foreign automobile manufacturers MINI was placed fourth.

This year for the first time Japanese and imported cars were judged together. Also, competition was extremely tough because cars of different size, concept, and price were put against each other.

Channel Nine’s ‘Young Lions’ star detective Alexandra Davies, partnered by would-be investigators Damon Garret and Natalie Perrin narrowly missed out on scooping the inaugural MISSION MINI adventure - a fiction-meets-fact international challenge to recover six ’stolen’ pieces of artwork. The innovative global MINI marketing promotion was based on a whodunit thriller written by well-known author Val McDermid.
