Official: Face lifted MINI Convertible…. For Kids!

MINI Convertible, in Miniature!

Here are official pictures from BMW in Munich of the MINI Convertible. Only, it’s not for grown ups, it’s purely for the kids!

Modeled on the upcoming, and soon to be officially revealed MINI Convertible, this miniature MINI will be on the market (in Europe at least) even before parents will be able to drive the new MINI Convertible for themselves!

The child’s vehicle, which is modeled on the original, is available in Orange and will appear in two variants: a sporty pedal version as well as quicker electrical version. Like
it’s big brother the MINI Kids Convertible can reportedly corner quickly - only the technology is somewhat different! The electrical version, which is powered by a 6V battery,
“tears along” at four kilometres per hour and has a period of operation of 1.5 hours.

An electronic torque limiter provides gentle starting both in forward and reverse gear. And for safety, when unstable braking is detected the engine switches off automatically.
The adjustable seat provides for an optimal, comfortable seating position for children from about three to five years. The pedal version with the help of it’s chain drive is easy to
accelerate and the pedals are adjustable depending upon body size. The Kids Convertible even has working rear view mirrors to ensure a great field of vision for junior motorists!

MINI promises a long life for the convertible due to sturdy construction. The chassis is constructed from painted steel tube and the body from resistant plastic. The vehicle was tested with children to ensure great ergonomics and is Tuev and ASTM examined. You will soon be able to buy the “manual” version for around 179 euro, and the electrical version for around 299 euro from MINI dealers, and online at www.mini.de/shop.
