MINI dealers (in the UK at least) will be offering four new “Flip Colours” to MINI customers. The new colours are (we’ve been told) extremely cool, however they’re also
pretty expensive. Expect a retail cost in excess of £3,500!

MINI gets down at Isle of MTV 2004

The premium small car accompanies the Global Music Tour as its official wheels

For the third year in a row, MINI will be the “official wheels” of the Isle of MTV clubbing tour. Building on the tour’s success over the last two years, “Isle of MTV 2004″ is set to be even bigger this year, with a 13-date club tour boasting an eclectic mix of DJ’s, sophisticated venues throughout Europe as well as - for the first time - in three non-European cities. The highlight of the tour will be an on the beach open-air main event, which is set to take place in Tossa de Mar, Spain, approximately 100km from Barcelona.

Gabe Bridger’s excellent MotoringFile.com site has managed to get hold of a leaked MINI USA document detailing the changes for the new MINI range for the ‘05 model
year.

This document confirms that (as predicted on MINI2 6 months ago!) a Limited Slip Differential will be an option for the MINI Cooper S on cars built January ‘05 and after.

The MINI Cooper Convertible is a pretty impressive car really. Almost peerless, and already selling like hot cakes well ahead of launch. With the latest addition to the MINI family, BMW Group appear to have another guaranteed hit on their hands. It’s a safe bet to say that this will be one of “the cars” to be seen in following it’s launch this summer, but have BMW managed to keep the MINI the real “drivers car” that’s won over the motoring press and the car buying public so empathically, or has it all one a bit floppy with the roof peeled off?

MINI - Most Reliable Small Car in Germany?

ADAC Report Makes Pleasant Reading for Prospective MINI Owners

In the annual statistical comparison of reliability for Germany’s  biggest car club ADAC (Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil Club) the MINI finished first in its class, ahead of its closest competitors, the Mitsubishi Colt, Toyota Yaris and Opel Corsa. While other main competitors in the same class, for example the VW Polo, Peugeot 206 and Renault Clio finished considerably further down the list of 21 cars.
