Carbon Fibre You Say? Yes Please!

In the latest of a long line of rumours and information to find it’s way to the MINI2 “inbox”, we’ve had some news from a previosly reliable source that reveals MINI are planning to release a Ltd. Edition MINI Cooper S towards the end of the current, supercharged car’s life cycle.

Details are sketchy, but production numbers look set to be limited to around 4,000 cars, which will be very basic in specification (to keep weight down) and will include many unique carbon fibre components to keep the weight of the Cooper S to an absolute minimum.

Prices and further details are not yet known, but this looks set to be a rare, future classic “end of the line” special, so if you’re interested, it might be worth trying to get your name on an “interested” list, long before the car is due to appear in late 2006.
