MINI2 Charity Ball 2006 sponsored by Wollaston MINI and New MINI Stuff

MINI2 Charity Ball 2006 sponsored by Wollaston MINI and New MINI Stuff

It’s another MINI adventure

The second MINI2 Charity Ball will take place this year at the magnificent Shrigley Hall Hotel, Golf and Country Club based in the heart of the Cheshire countryside on Saturday 8th April 2006.

Last year’s inaugural event took place at the Moathouse Hotel in Northampton and saw 160 MINI2 revelers dancing, drinking and being merry whilst raising £5,721 for Woodlands School in Harrow, and Whizz Kidz. Woodlands is a school for children with severe learning disabilities and Whizzkids is MINI’s chosen charity - it offers mobility aids for disabled children.

The chosen charity for 2006 is the Anthony Nolan Trust. The Anthony Nolan Trust takes back lives from leukaemia by managing, and recruiting new donors to the UK’s most successful bone marrow register. They also conduct pioneering research into the treatment of bone marrow disorders and improving the effectiveness of bone marrow transplants.

The 2006 MINI2 Charity Ball promises to be a glamorous affair. Based at Shrigley Hall, a striking 19th century mansion that is now carefully restored to a 4 star Hotel that offers unique character and elegance, evident from the moment you sweep up the long driveway and make your way to the main entrance. The Ball itself will be held in the Tilden Suite which is a magnificent historic chapel annexed to the main hotel.

Relax and unwind during the day by visiting the health and leisure club which includes a swimming pool, sauna, spa and steam rooms. Or maybe play a round of golf on the 18 hole Championship course. Or how about a game of tennis?

No MINI run? Of course there will be a MINI run - it’ll be on Saturday too! Make sure your MINI’s nice and clean - it probably won’t be by the end! This will be an opportunity to enjoy a drive through spectacular countryside and breathtaking landscapes on some of the best roads in the country - surely they were built with MINIs in mind! The run will be broken with lunch at a traditional Peak District pub before arriving back at Shrigley Hall with plenty of time to get ready for the evening fun, or even an early pint in the bar.

The evening will begin with a Welcome Drink Reception sponsored by MINI UK before we sit down to a sumptuous dinner. This will be followed by a Charity Auction and a Raffle that already has a fantastic array of auction lots and prizes, donated by our generous sponsors. There will be items for both MINI maniacs and their long suffering partners who may prefer a non MINI-centric prize! The partying will continue long into the early hours - the music won’t stop until 2.00am so you’ll have plenty of time to dazzle everyone with your best dance moves, or just enjoy the chance to socialize with the great friends you have met on MINI2.

There are still tickets available if you want to join the fun, details can be found here on MINI2 http://www.mini2.com/forum/showthread.php?t=89806 or on the Ball’s dedicated website http://www.newminimeets.net/M2CB2006/ or by sending an email to info@mini2charityball.com
