Scouring the net for MINI stuff recently we encountered MINI #37, a website belonging to MINI South Africa which we thought looked extremely cool! Only one problem, the due date for release was given as May 2007, and search as we may we could not find the game to download and play!

Anyway, after some digging around we came across the website of Luma, the game developers, and via them we found the games development site of Dale Best. So we dropped Dale a line to find out when we may be able to get our hands on a copy of this very cool looking MINI arcade game. Dale came back very fast, and with some encouraging news:

At this stage Episode 01, which has (Newtown and Cape Town) 2 locations with 3 tracks each, making up 6 tracks in total, and 5 cars. (MINI Classic, R56 MINI Cooper, R56 MINI Cooper S, R52 MINI Cooper convertible and R52 MINI Cooper S convertible.) will be launched Quarter 3 2007, so - pretty soon.

Episode 02: Also 6 tracks, 3 in Durban, 3 in Sandton CBD, will have the R56 JCW, the GP and a couple of surprises I cant confirm at this point. This Episode will also be launched this year.

Also very cool is that Dale is a true MINI fan, who owns a 2002 Cooper S, and ideally would eventually like to add every MINI ever to drive off a production line to the MINI #37 stables! But as with all things in life, money and time will be the final deciding factors there.
