2006 (06) Mini Cooper S John Cooper Works GP with 8,700 miles. owned by a non-smoker.It is absolutely mint, as new, showroom condition, tated till 08/08, 5 years free servicing (TLC Pack)
The GP ( grand prix ) is a limited edition with only 444 of these cars in the UK and will surely be a future classic. It is the last of the supercharged minis.
Cooper went to considerable efforts to make this their best performance mini with 218 bhp.The GP is the lightest and most powerful variant that they produced.
This was achieved by making the car a two seater and by making the suspension components from aluminium alloy instead of steel.Some sound deadening materials were also removed.
The extra power is sent to the 18'' bespoke GP alloys and ultra low profile tyres via a close ratio gearbox and limited slip differential ( LSD).Roadholding is also aided by DSC dynamic stability control.
Other features include JCW brakes which are very powerful and anti-lock, a full stainless steel JCW exhaust system and bespoke aerodynamics package which includes a deep front spoiler,deep side skirts and a rear spoiler which produces real downforce helping to keep the car planted at speed ( capable of 148 mph ) The GP also has a front to rear flat plastic under tray to smooth airflow beneath the car before exiting the rear diffuser.
The GP is not a stripped out racer however and boasts some creature comforts, air con, electric windows and mirrors, cruise control, ipod interface, electrically heated leather Recaro sports seats ( bespoke to GP and not standard JCW )These seats are truly excellent being very comfortable and supportive.
Like all GP's, the colour is metalic/pearl " thunder blue".
The GP is an awsome car to drive. I'm selling due to a forthcoming house extension in 2008...boo hoo, I can't have it all!!
