This is all subjective, but I found the standard half leather seats to be very comfortable (presumably the leather/cloth mix adds some support) and more so than the standard cloth seats which also gave me backache. The beige cordoba seats are more supportive than the standard leather seats and the sports cloth seats on the Cooper S were more comfortable than the full leather sports seats which tended to dig in to one side (despite several adjustments), even on a car which had already done 500 miles.
As for giving a choice, certain people may find that the sports seats could be uncomfortable on long journeys, bearing in mind that the seats are narrower than (for example) the Renault Clio's. I'm quite thin but still found that the leather sports seats took a bit of getting used to - your mileage may vary of course. |
