Getting just over 28 mpg in mostly local driving. Definitely saw an increase in MPG's while breaking in the Cooper. Using the SD/Manual thing lowers my MPG's because I rev it higher. A lot more fun though, and as afromanbob stated, you cannot mess it up. It won't allow you to shift to an unacceptable gear. Experiment and have fun.
