How hard was it to replace?

Thanks

The handle is part number 11-42-7-512-446 "Trunk lid grip" and was $60.75 (which I consider reasonable)

It's an all-in-one piece including the twin lights for rear license plate as well as the rubber covered switch to unlock the hatch.

The handle is held onto the hatch itself by 4 torx screws and uses a single electrical plug. However, after unbolting the old handle, the plug would not pull apart. So I removed the one-piece inner hatch liner to look at it from the inside. I found that the electrical plug was cable-tied to a rear wiper motor support piece in what looked like an effort to prevent rattles. (thank you MINI ) I cut the cable tie, plugged the new handle in, and resecured the plug with a new cable tie.

Total time to fit - about 10-15 minutes.
