I had this problem as well!
You're really not going to know for sure until you've got the old unit out. Not very helpful so far, however...
Go down to Halfords where they stock both bits. I know that my branch would be okay to let me have both types of wiring loom on the understanding that they will refund for the part that I didn't use. That's how I would have done it a second time...

PS Beware the Sony head unit. It beeps at you every time you get out of the car to remind you to take the face plate with you. This drives me up the wall! |
