... definitely let it "finish its task"... It is important to the engine (for longevity) and engine cooling components to adequately reduce (the ravages of) heatsink in the afterrun period.

If the fan stays on what you would consider an inordinate amount of time (over 5 min. or so) however, you should have the dealer check the switch to make certain it is at 100%.
