Brand New GT Tuning 'MCS Oil Catch Tank'- preview

Hi Guys, there is a brand new GTT 'Oil Catch Tank' for the MCS coming soon. It has 'left the drawing board' and production commences this week. Initial batch should be ready by the end of March. It incorporates many unique features which should put it way above current offerings. Rest assured it will not consist of a short length of silicon pipe with an alloy cap 'jubilee clipped on' at each end.
I will put up the spec later on (no pics, as not made yet)

Firstly though ,why do we need one?
As standard the oily mist from the crankcase passes through a one way valve (PCV valve)
positioned on the rocker cover via a part rubber & part plastic tube to a connection
just upstream of the SC rotors. Inevitably not only are fumes & air passed through but
oil; this is bad news for two reasons.
Firstly it lines the intercooler and rubber bellows with oil reducing efficiency of the intercooler, which can make the bellows more prone to slipping off.
Secondly ( and less widely known), most of this oil actually passes THROUGH the S/C and Intercooler ,into the engine & burns! This is far more detrimental to performance as the oil mixing with the fuel during combustion LOWERS THE OCTANE OF THE FUEL. This at best means ignition timing will be retarded to stop it knocking /pinking,(lowering power output in the process,)
OR worse still, will induce knocking/pinking with possible long term engine damage .
If you check your spark plugs (doing a proper plug chop),they should be a light to medium grey colour. If they are more 'biscuit' or tan brown colour, with 'deposits' ,this indicates burning oil.
If the Intercooler has oil in it ,you can bet the oil originated from the breather system.
Enter the GTT ' Oil Catch Tank'.......
