Yea let's use an abrasive and a chemical stripper on our paint
Fingernail polish remover is usually acetone based (there are some non acetone ones) If you really want to fu** up your paint use acetone

The commercial bug & tar products are ok and plain alcohol will do in a pinch. Immediately rinse with water and then at least spot wax the are.

I park my car under an 80' pine tree daily. It's over my driveway. ( $1200 to have it cut down so you know why it's still there )

I probably remove a pound of bird ***** and tree sap from my car each year. The car still looks good and it's almost 3 years old so what I'm suggesting has some experience behind it.
