What a wierd thing to have happen! At least you're able to get a fresh car . . .
When I contacted JCW, they told me that the kit for the MCSa would be released in the US/UK in april and would offer similar power gains to the kit for the manual. My guess would be that the transmission needs to be substantially reprogrammed to handle the increased torque, which is probably a complicated process requiring a lot of testing.
It would be nice if they gave people waiting for the kit some slightly more specific answers.
