as your car is from AUZ the rev counter and speedo are swapped so even trying to change the dial face from an old sat nav wont work i have just ordered my new speedo KMH because we gone all metric here in Ireland.

It is half true, yes it can be done, but the coding information needs to be created and then tested by BMW before they release it to the dealers.

The MPH to KM/h you guys in Ireland have under gone is a approved and tested retro fit, therefore it is just a recode using one of the retro fit options precoded into the dealers DIS.
