Sorry to hear about your troubles. I agree that the service dept. at Ottawa East MINI is woefully inadequate and their trouble diagnosing your warning light issue is very worrying.

On a lighter note, we had a mini Ottawa MINI meet last night and we would have loved for you to join us, but I have a hard time keeping track of other Ottawa owners.

PS. Do you live in New Edinburgh or Rockliffe? I've seen a MINI with your spec in the neighbourhood a couple times (I live in New Edinburgh).
