I disagree when people say the 3 series is a bad car. I've had a bunch of them as loan cars and they are a very VERY good car. Underpowered, yes - but have you driven a 330ci? They go faster than 95% of Cooper S's I know of, and the chassis dynamics and handling are superb. Not go kart like, as in the MINI, but they are pretty tidy in my opinion.
I've never minded having to drive a 3 as a loaner. Not as exciting as a MINI, but I don't think BMW's slogan is unfounded.
Anyway, back on topic - did I see Tit entering Liverpool KK at about 7pm tonight? If he had his ears open he would have heard FLiPSiDE and myself bouncing off our respective rev limiters as we left and tore off up the Cumberland Hwy (I won, of course
