Scott, Scott, Scott.

Processing of your MINI through the VDC/VPC is (by report) a 3-working-day minimum exercise, assuming no damage to be repaired. So your (and my) MINI will most likely be spending the weekend in Oxnard.

But when they're finished, when it's lookiing it's shiniest best, then it'll be put on a truck and sent on it's way to you.

I think your interpretation of the messages is probably reasonable (this is like reading tea leaves!). I'll guess that my car's been scheduled to be driven over to the VDC/VPC, yours hasn't been scheduled yet, or maybe it has, but there's a time cutoff for the ASK MINI system by which its status has to change for your message to change today. Or maybe they've all driven off the ship into the harbor and they're doing their best inverted glass-bottom-boat imitation (I know my car has a skylight) on the bottom of the harbor?!?
