Anyway, if you get iTunes for Windows, you can choose what to record them in - just select mp3 in the preferences. It won't work for the DRM'd bought ones over the web, but stuff e.g. off a CD will be fine.
As for RealPlayer, you're insane if you use that - it's marginally better than Creative's Jukebox, but not by much. I suspect you'll still find WinAmp is one of the best out there, although since I use a Mac and a Windows PC over my Airport network, I use iTunes all the time now to be able to stream to any stereo in the house

so have no reason to use WinAmp. I'd try that first if I were you.
