In theory, the "bad" krap should all be in the filter.

the small amount of dirty "looking" oil left in the cooler, should not have any contaminents in it that could damage your engine.

Remember, the filter is there to stop all damaging Krapola.

Let's just say:

that the 10% of colored oil that is left is to give the new oil some color so that you can see it on the dipstick.........That's my story & I'm sticking to it,,,,,,,,,,
