At first I thought it might be a web spoke issue, maybe it still is. See this thread for some background
http://www.mini2.com/forum/wheels-tyres-brakes/94864-calling-all-web-spoke-owners.html
Essentially, my wheels make a clicking sound at each revolution. You can really hear it when driving along a wall or pulling into a garage, etc.
bjerk went to one of the three Chicago and is having all four of his rims replaced. I stopped by one of the other Chicago dealers today and was told that the noise is the
DSC. The tech drove another 2005 with
DSC and experienced the same sound. The other MINI supposedly did not have web spokes, but I was unable to have this verified.
So my question is: do other 2005 MINI owners (with rims other than the web spokes) with
DSC experience the clicking sound coming from each wheel at every revolution? I'm thinking that since the web spokes are a very open design (compared to the s-lite) we hear more from behind the wheel.
