I feel you have much more control with a chamois...you are rinsing and wringing out more often,where as the water blade leads you to believe it is fine to just 'swipe' the water away,...with encumbent problems if you have grit trapped......moral is just use whatever you like, just keep checking it, and the car, is clean and free from grit / particulates.
