Had the same problem myself a few weeks back. You can try and reset the ECU (disconnect the + battery terminal and touch it against the - terminal then disconnect that terminal too) You wont cause any damage. Leave it for 10 mins then connect them up again. If the problem is still there take it in (mine turned out to be a faulty sensor).
