Safety Reminder

As we progress through fall and winter, ambient temeratures are dropping. Be aware that this will cause your tire pressure to drop which and in turn causes dramatic changes in the handling of your car.

This afternoon (13.5 degrees Celsius), I felt the car's handling deteriorate and subsequently checked my tire pressures. Sure enough, I lost 3-4PSI on all tires since the last time they were checked about 3 weeks ago. Normally run on 35/34PSI.

Also be aware that summer/performance tires will loose their normal adhesion when outside air temperature drop below a certain level (not absolutely sure, but if my memory serves me right, below 8 degress Celsius). Anyway, you get the idea.

Let's all be more aware and remember, safety first. Now the OAT (outside air temperature guage) serves as a safety feature!
