Hey Future Owner
I originally ordered a manual, however, [read my other threads] due to dealer error, I got a MSCa [Mini Cooper S Auto]. Well all I can say is that this is by far better than the manual.
The S not only has the power, but the MSCa also has "Steptronic" paddles shifters. What this means is that the S has "D"rive plus "SD" sports Drive and "M"anual modes.
Read the threads and sticky under Copper S Auto and CVT as this explains the difference.
Well, I drive totally in Manual mode using the paddle shift, but also in D or SD you can use the paddles any time to drop down or up whilst driving.
The
MCSa stepronic is also 6 speed versus the CVT of 5 speed.
IMHO if you want auto, you need the extra power and believe me you will be wrapped.
Email or PM me if you need any more information.
Good Luck
