I have had my
MCS for 1 month now and i have been keeping a close eye on what fuel economy i get out the car depending how i drive it.
My daily commute is a 150 mile round trip consisting mostly of motorway driving, but with about 10 miles each way of country roads near where i live, where i find it hard to resist to putting my foot down
On the motorway stint of my journey, i try and stick as close to 70 mph as possible, only going above this speed to overtake other traffic that is travelling slower than me lol.
I find that i can average around 400 miles to a full tank using Optimax and driving this way, which i'm quite impressed with. I usually average around 39 mpg ish, although i have had it up in the 40's on a few occassions.
It takes quite a bit of self discipline to drive so sedately in such a great performance car, but due to the amount of mileage i do driving to work it would cost me a fortune if i was flooring it all the time.
I do allow myself to have more fun at weekends however and cane it a bit more. I have noticed that when the car is driven harder, it consumes fuel at a much quicker rate than i do with my driving eticate during the week
