I'm with MINI USA. Here's the deal on the indicator light:
Yes - there absolutely is one. For vehicles manufactured 12/04 and earlier, the indicator light is located in the wiper control lever.
For vehicles manufactured 1/05 and later, there is now a windshield washer fluid indicator light on the wiper stalk. This required a change for vehicles having the alarm system and the alarm indicator light for these models is now located in the turn signal control lever.
If your vehicle was manufactured as of 1/05, your authorized MINI center must install a new switch. Due to a variety of options, the switch is not included in the alarm kit and must be purchased separately.
