Forgive me if this has been posted already here, or in another forum, but I did not find anything on this in my search. I also hope I am posting in the correct forum. I received a letter from Mini regarding a "potential problem relating to the incorrect routing of the engine wiring harness". I was advised to bring the car to a Mini service center where the problem would be remedied at their expense. Has anyone else received this letter? What exactly does that mean? I have a 2005
MCS Convertible (production March 05).
The service manager said that they frequently get recalls (?) on all Mini models. Is that posted here on Mini2?
When I brought my Mini in a couple of months ago to have the top replaced (it broke and was also faded), they did have a notation in the system about replacing faded tops, but I was not notified of this by letter. Does this mean that they only notify Mini owners about potentially hazardous malfunctions? I know the subject of the convertible has been discussed here several times before.
Anyway....Am LOVING my Mini!!!
