| I'm a smart one, I am. So last night I finally got around to putting my Hudson Bay pictures on my smugmug site. My next mission is to geocode them. Smugmug has teamed with Google maps and you can select a picture and find the location and tie the two together so that you get a neat interactive map that shows all the places you've been. I quickly tried two pictures this morning and it's pretty cool. The only problem is that it's not as intelligent as regular Google maps, so if you type "Rouses Point, NY" instead of jumping to the center of town, it'll say "not found". You have to have an actual street address, or just drag the map around and select the point manually. You can also enter a lat/long, and since I took a few pictures of Peter's nav, I can put those in easily. Should be fun (and time-consuming) to go through all of my pictures and see where I've travelled. |
