Hey! it says "track day reports" not autocross reports.

My instructor pointed out something pretty important. When you autocross, you get to do one "lap", then sit around for a while, then do another "lap". No chance or rhythm to develop. At a track day, you get a block of time to go around the track as many times as you can... it makes a huge difference. You can try something different on consecutive laps and actually be able to tell a difference.

During the SCDA day, the sessions are about 25 minutes long. I was getting a warm up lap and 12 or 13 "hot" laps in a session! Huge improvement over autocrossing. As long as you brakes, tires, and mind can hold out for 25 minutes, that is.
