VT / NH motoring report

Are motoring reports allowed?

I took a trip today without the use of a map. Started from Burlington Vermont and went to my current favorite stretch of road - Hollow Rd between Hinesburg and Huntington. Yesterday, I motored north (within a mile of the US/Canada border), so today I decided I'd try east. I wanted to go south of Mount Mansfield since a lot of my motoring has been north of the mountain, but there just wasn't a good way to get south of Mansfield from Huntington except for using the App Gap - and since I'm still on my summer tires and there would be a good chance of snow or ice in the gap, I decided against that.

So, I wound up on route 15, again... joined up to route 2 and over to New Hampsire. Somewhere on the way I saw an Aston Martin (something newish) headed towards me. I'm not quite sure what roads I was on from there, but soon enough I saw signs for Fanconia Notch and Mount Washington. Went past the old man of the mountain, through Conway, and hit the Kancamangus Highway - great road but a little busy. A Testerossa was seen. Decided it was time to start heading back west and wound up on route 112 between Lincoln and Bath NH - great road! Endured some horrible pavement for 20 miles or so after making a wrong turn heading back east on 302 and taking the first left I came across. Eventually wound up in Groton Vermont and gave in to the lure of the interstate once I got to Barre.

Sorry, no pictures. It was cloudy all day - some rain falling, some snow on the sides of the roads in the mountains.
