Boy, it figures that G-Tech would finally come out with their new model, right afterI bought my Race Technology AP-22. No matter, I still like my AP-22, even if it's not as purty as the new G-Tech.

It's odd how mn_angrybeats is getting overly optimistic torque and HP estimates, even though he had seriously underestimated his car's weight. It appears that the unit is measuring the 0-60 time more-or-less correctly, so that's not the problem. (That's so cool that with 3-axes of measurement, you don't have to enter any values on how much the vehicle "squats" under acceleration. It can measure that directly.) The only other reason I can think of for the crazy torque results is that the unit is over-estimating the wind resistance at speed. If the unit thinks the car is experiancing a lot of drag, it will report a higher torque estimate at any given acceleration.

That's odd. I'm checking the online documentation and I don't see any mention at all about either air resistance or rolling resistance. Hopefully, the manual-writers just forgot to include that chapter in the 'pre-release' documentation, since it's pretty much impossible for an accelerometer to calculate HP without knowing both the rolling resistance and drag coefficient of the vehicle in question.

Here's a handy calculator to use to determine these values. (Once you figure out how to enter them!)
