To answer your question about my MG Midget 4x4 its on a Suzuki Samari chassis as well as the motor I drive it on the beaches here on Cape Cod but it no good on the highway because of the factory gearing. So I want something that is just as much fun to drive that can handle the highways and be fun there to, that brings me to the mini. The only other car I have found is a 1973 Volvo P1800ES sport wagon and thats going to cost me $14,000.00 so for the difference I can step into a MINI. I figuree I may go 30,000 miles with no problems on that 73 ES considering the shape its in (Concourse) what I can't figure exactly is will I be ahead of the game 4 years down the road with the MINI or this collectable 73ES Sport wagon and then again I may start getting speeding tickets once again if I buy into the MINI and start running these back roads here the way the car is ment to be run. I don't think I want to getr the S, I am afraid it won't last 4 years, thats why I want some feed back thaqnks for asking about my car any other questions on it I will be glad to answer. I've gotten 5 years out ofd it so far. I built it in 1999. I am doing 36 MPG and thats not bad for any 4x4. It will end up my summer beach buggy to cruise in if I get a new car, but it has been my main car since I built it. |
