I have run a search but didn't come up with anthing specific to Aus

A guy in one of the wheel places i went to tried to tell me If i change my rims and opt for non runflat tyres they will no longer cover me for insurance?

i am insured with RACV, called to ask and the guy said it should be fine but i was wondering if anyone else has heard this before?
