| The only explination is that they are producing cars by regional setup. As cars destined for places such as the USA will take longer to deliver then maybe the initial batches are those cars are being built first?
We all assume that they are being built in the order of the roof number, but my understanding is that the roof no is your place on the order/waiting list. It would be quite simple to build them out of this sequence to meet delivery dates.
Put it this way at a rate of 30 cars a day 5 days a week it will take 14 weeks to do the production run. They were meant to start production in week 18 so this would mean that week 32 would be last production week. That fits in with the delivery details peole have been getting.
Looking at the number thread not that many people have put down delivery dates, would be interesting to know what numbers are being released when. (For example the Monterey delivery - what spread of numbers do we have there? - it would give some indication of possible manufacturing planning)
Edit:- Zstngs car is roughly 500 cars before mine by number, but delivery to dealer is around the same time - both UK spec cars.  |
