Personally I don't have the skills to produce a turbo kit, so I would purchase one should it be the sort of thing i was after.

Pro's of building your own:
  • Money saving
  • Tuned how you want it
Pro's of buying one:
  • Vast time saving
  • Hopefully get a tried and tested product
  • Company backup from Alta should anything go wrong
I think if i could afford it, even if i could build my own, I'd by the ready developed item.

Your choice though of course... and good luck with what you decide
