BTW, they did green leather of the shade you mention on the 35th on Sportpacks too - I have one with an interior that very colour

Am currently speccing a new MINI and I'd jump at the chance of getting the colours you mention because I'm finding colour choice really limited to be honest.
Again I couldn't agree more - I have a great 1997 Mini brochure (actually I have three copies..) that's got a lovely array of colours, in comparison the colour options on New MINIs seem terribly limited I have to say.

Just to give you an idea here's the list:

Solid colours
Flame Red, White Almond, Electric Blue

Clearcoat Metallic colours
Charcoal, Platinum Silver, Kingfisher Blue, British Racing Green

Pearlescent colours
Nighfire Red, Tahiti Blue, Amaranth, Volcano

Classic colours
Almond Green, Yukon Grey, Surf Blue, Whitehall Beige
Maybe they want to get people paying for more 'exciting' colours but even the metallic colours are IMHO terribly limited.
That would be off poo brown would it not?

Ahh Volcano. I always wanted a Ginger Mini!

Before the '97 twin point colours you could get BRG in Solid, Metalic and Pearlescent

It caused a lot of repair problems though hence why they limited it to metallic and that's exactly what my Cooper was.

It was acceptable in the 80's
