I was minding my own business, getting to my office and just a block away, when I downshifted from 4th to 3rd as I approached an intersection with a light just turning yellow.
All of a sudden I hear (and feel) the unmistakable sound of gears NOT meshing, and the shifter just went sort of slack. Like it became sort of disconnected from the transmission.
The car was moved on a flatbed to the dealer, and I guess someone there will tell me what happened, but I don't want to wait until tomorrow.
Any of you folks have any ideas on what the F*@! happened?
