The indicator will be fast blinking unless you add load resistors. LEDs use so little power that the electronics think the bulb is burned out, which puts it into fast blinking mode.

I've experimented with different indicator bulbs in the standard sidelight/repeater (not the halos). The brightest is the original amber incandescent bulb. The least bright are silver coated stealth bulbs -- some are quite dim. The type of LED bulb you pictured is fairly bright in the standard light housing, but I don't know how well it would work with the clear lenses of the halos.
