Round White Mountains from RLIer Rob 9/2 or 3

Well.. as some of you know.. while I havent been to MOT.. I HAVE been to the Whites many many times... (actually over Memorial and Labor day for the past 19 years)

So on Sue's Idea.. I plotted a route around the mtns and Notches and past some waterfalls.. and some photo stops... and ending down at the Yankee Smokehouse is Ossipee. It actually starts over (either in Franconia Notch at the Old Man/Cannon Mtn parking lot.. or before that at Echo Lake.. (or even Before that at Polly's Pancake Parlour in Sugar Hill.. we stay in Littleton all the time)

the route is down thru Franconia Notch.. east on the Kank to Bear Notch rd.. North thru Bear Notch.. then west at Bartlett on 302 heading up into Crawford Notch..
after the Head of the Notch.. we go over to Mt Clinton Rd (this is one of those gravely mtn roads.. no fast driving due to moose) and take it into Jefferson Notch Rd. (also mtn rd). (highest maintained road in NH) then East on Rt 2 to Dolly Copp aka Pinkham B .. which passes between Pine Mt and Mt Adams (nice waterfall on that road)(ALSO mtn road) then South on Rt 16 passing Mt Washington Auto Road.thru Pinkham Notch.. to 302 then WEST on 302 (no I'm not crazy) to West Side Road.. taking that south to River Road and then to Passaconaway Rd which will wind along the Moat range and take us back alongside the Kank .. joining that at the Albany Covered Bridge.. then EAST again on the Kank to Rt 16.. and south passaing Chocura Lake (great photo op of Mt Chocura there) and heading to West Ossipee and the Yankee Smokehouse at Rt 16 and rt 25

Any interest???? This would be either Sept 2 or 3 since we arrive on the 1st.. and leave on Labor Day

this would take us thru Franconia Notch, Kankamangus Pass, Bear Notch, Crawford Notch, Jefferson Notch, the Cull between Mt Adams and Pine Mt, and Pinkham Notch.
stopping for a few waterfalls would be fine!

off the top of my head... the Basin in Franconia Notch , Silver and Flume Cascade in Crawford Notch (there's a hidden waterfall and pool up there.), the Triple Falls on Dolly Copp rd, Glen Ellis Falls in Pinkham Notch.. All these are right near where you can park

oh and Photo ops also
