I have now officially talked myself out of this one - I still have 9-odd months of Cherished warranty left on the Cooper so I'd really be a bit silly changing now.
Interceptor: I hadn't thought about the new model so perhaps that will be the best way forward. April next year could be a really good time to buy a Cherished 'S' - unless of course the R56 'S' is a dog and owners hold onto the Supercharged models.
(Can't see it happening that way though!)
