The details are at the bottom of this page - it's the "North Country Rumble". It does say "Established Auto-X clubs around New England and Eastern NY", but I bet we could sneak in some sort of MINI team.

The basic idea is one car, four drivers, best cumulative time wins. Last year, the Sports Car Club of Vermont won (the club I autocross with).
My Cooper is currently sick (no power steering), but it should be fixed by then if it was decided to use my car. The clutch isn't perfect on it, but it's still a pretty good autocrosser. Or, someone else's MINI could be used. I'd love to abuse, I mean use, an MCS... hint hint.
If we can find 3 more people who want to go, I'll be one of the 4 drivers.
The winning strategy from last year was the have each of the four drivers have a clean run, not necessarily a fast run. SCCV was the only team to have 4 clean runs.
There's also a normal autocross on Saturday October 14.
I also posted this on the Ocean State site.
If the idea grabs traction, someone will have to contact the SCCNH folks to make sure we can "make up" a MINI team without an established autocross club behind it, or possibly represent one of the BMWCCA chapters without really asking the BMWCCA about it.
I'd volunteer to do the legwork, but I'm going to be pretty busy this week, and hopefully out of town tuesday-thursday for a track event, assuming my power steering gets fixed in time.
