From what I have read on here in the past it is pinion clatter and is a known isue and doesn't effect your car in the slightest.
You may have had all those parts replaced for nothing.
Had it on my 04' Cooper S and have it (though not as loud and only when cold) on my 05' Cooper S too.
I believe the explanation was posted by Roland2003 of GTT, might be worth doing an Advanced search for posts made by him. |
