I've recently joined the site, (don't know anyone else on here in person) because I've ordered a new R56 Cooper.
Interested to know who is also a newbie on here because of an interest/purchase of the new model?
In my case the mini was my 1st choice for my 1st new car. I'm likely to have the car 5+ years so have opted for the new model with a fairly high spec to my budget, (IMHO) considering the insurance costs in my sums as a young driver - you wouldn't believe some of the quotes I've had!
I've chosen Chilli Red/White Roof
etc because I've always liked the colour and consider it's become a traditional mini colour that hopefully doesn't date. I've had the Blaster wheels in the Chilli pack with the Ray/leather seats as I can always up the wheels at a later date and even have the seats re-upholstered in the future. But I took the view Xenons are going to be standard in the near future, Auto Air-con - Heated Screen/Tinted glass etc are things I can't easily add in the future.
What are other peoples views?
