The only reason the busstop was put in was because some dumb NASCAR driver blew turn 5 and killed himself. Everyone was fine without it before that and most drivers in other series wish it was gone. Since NASCAR had recently bought the track at that point they felt it necessary to slow down those crude machines (and put up fences everywhere).
You should see some vintage NASCAR racers try to make it through the boot. It's really comedic. |
