Did you copy my how to using BMW parts that I posted ?

Another Rechargeable Torch

Another way of doing this would be to install the BMW rechargeable torch in the Glovebox.

The Glovebox has a blanking plate fitted, part no. 51160146611. item no. 5 in this exploded diagram.

The same blanking plate but with a different part no. 8161589 is fitted in E46,E61,E83,E90 & E91.

Looking @ the diagram for E90, item no. 25, it shows that it can be replaced with item no. 11.

Now, bear with me, item no. 11 is SUPPORT F CHARGEABLE HANDLAMP, part no.61138352336

Looking @ E38 it appears in this diagram as Item no. 18.

And along side it is item no. 08 CHARGEABLE HANDLAMP, part no. 63316962052

So......
The plan is replace the blank plate with the Support, wire it into the Facia Harness and fit it into the back of the glovebox. Then plug in the Handlamp!

Is that a plan or what?
