Add this to the black boxes they want to install in our cars to track us and charge us for each mile... Would also have the function to fine us if we speed. I wonder if those signals can get out when I wrap the damn box in lead.

Driver education is the key to safe roads. Only 5% of deaths are due to excessive speed. We need tougher tests and 3 fails you are never allowed on the road. Seriously, if you cant pass within 3 tests you really shouldnt be on the road. Re-testing would also be a good idea. With better drivers and less accidents we would also get cheaper insurance, in theory.
Another thing is foreign drivers. I work with someone who lives over here and as long as she leaves the country each year for a couple of weeks she can drive on her licence here.
Okay, the main drive behind the speed limits seem to be polution. Whats wrong with investing some of our road tax and fuel tax money into science to come up with cleaner alternatives sooner? |
