I have one in my Golf (a 1.6 with 15bhp). It makes for relaxed cruising but consequently if you are below 60mph or so in 6th, acceleration is poor as you are too low down the rev band.

I'm sure it will be good for fuel economy/noise level on the motorway. The outgoing MINI did rev too high on cruising IMO.
